Rep. Brad Ellsworth, D-Ind. (8th CD) has issued the following news release:
Living up to his pledge to disclose projects that are on track to receive federal funding, Rep. Brad Ellsworth today announced Congress has approved federal funds for the installation of emergency warning sirens in Vanderburgh County. The $126,900 in funding was included as part of the FY 2008 Omnibus Appropriations measure approved by both chambers this week.
The funds were requested by the Vanderburgh County Commission and will be used to install nine outdoor emergency warning sirens. The sirens will be used to alert residents of approaching severe weather, hazardous ...
