Rep. Judy Biggert, R-Ill. (13th CD), issued the following news release:
The House of Representatives today cleared for Presidential signature a bill with fiscal year 2008 funding for 14 cabinet level agencies, including the Department of Energy (DOE) and the scientific research and development at its Argonne National Laboratory in Darien, IL.
"Science-driven technology has accounted for more than 50 percent of the growth of the U.S. economy during the last half-century," said Biggert, co-chair of the House Research and Development (R&D) Caucus and member of the House Science and Technology Committee.
