Article: EMPIRE STATE DEVELOPMENT BOARD APPROVES FOUR GRANTS IN DOWNSTATE REGION

Empire State Development issued the following news release:

The Empire State Development Corporation board today approved grants to four companies in the downstate region that will bring in more than $2.1 million in private investment and preserve or create 165 jobs.

The board also approved an agreement announced Monday by Governor Eliot Spitzer in which ITT Corporation will be eligible to apply for up to $1 million in Jobs NOW funds as it invests $14.8 million to expand its world headquarters in a new White Plains facility, preserving 119 jobs and promising to create 96 additional ones.
