Article: Sen. Kerry Introduces HIV Nondiscrimination in Travel and Immigration Act

WASHINGTON, Dec. 27 -- Sen. John Kerry, D-Massachusetts, has introduced the HIV Nondiscrimination in Travel and Immigration Act of 2007 (S. 2486), legislation that would "remove a provision from the Immigration and Nationality Act that prohibits individuals with HIV from being admissible to the U.S."

The bill, introduced on Dec. 14, was co-sponsored by Sens. Gordon Smith, R-Oregon, and Richard Durbin, D-Illinois. It was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
