Eight trucking and logistics stocks disappeared from exchanges during 2007 because of private equity buyouts, corporate acquisitions and bankruptcies, while the stock market as a whole posted stronger gains than did the freight transportation sector.
A major original equipment manufacturer of trucking equipment also had its stock delisted from the New York Stock Exchange for failure to file financial reports prompdy but it might be able to return in 2008.
