New Delhi, Jan. 9 -- Defence Minister A K Antony has said that the criticism of the Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) for "time and cost over-run in many projects" is not fair because it has helped India to develop strategic defence weapons and delivery systems, which no country is ready to part with.

Speaking on the occasion to mark the beginning of yearlong celebrations of the Golden Jubilee Year-2008 of the (DRDO), Antony further said that the DRDO has helped India to achieve appreciable level of self-reliance in defence technologies.
