The city of Bridgeport issued the following news release:

Mayor Bill Finch announced today that he will be forming an ad hoc committee on Economic Development to help review and assess Bridgeport's economic development processes and procedures. The committee will be called "Advance Bridgeport Economic Development."

The role of the committee will be to analyze the economic development function of City, find ways to facilitate economic development, improve the City's capacity to attract private investment, evaluate staffing and department needs, and review commission appointments and the city's master plan.
