The town of Cary issued the following press release:
With weather forecasters calling for the possibility of a wintry mix Thursday morning, the Town of Cary 's A-Team began applying a brine solution to all bridges, major hills and historically icy spots today.
"We are fully prepared should wintry weather affect our community," said Town of Cary Public Works Director Mike Bajorek . "Our priority, should a response be necessary, will be ensuring the major thoroughfares are salted and remain safe."
In light of the region's drought conditions, the Town coordinated with state officials to use reclaimed water to produce the brine solutions for the roads. The reclaimed water does not alter the ...
