When Arabella Brokaw was just three months old, her parents noticed that she had gotten a flat spot on her head. Cal and Christine took their daughter to a doctor who said not to worry about it. A month later, another doctor diagnosed Arabella with plagiocephaly, a flattening of one side of the skull.
The Brokaws were told that Arabella needed to be fitted for a special corrective helmet to reshape her head. Then Christine started researching the helmets.
