The office of Sen. Christopher S. 'Kit' Bond, R-Mo., issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Kit Bond , Vice Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, today welcomed an agreement that will allow the Senate to continue consideration of long-term terrorist surveillance legislation.
"This agreement is good news for American families who expect Congress to work together and pass legislation that will allow our intelligence operators and law enforcement community to track terrorists and prevent attacks," said Bond.
