San Jose State University issued the following press release:
San José State University received more in private gift commitments during the 2006-2007 academic year than any other campus in the California State University system, according to a recent report. This is the first time in history San José State has earned this honor. Among SJSU's top donors to date for 2007-2008 is alumnus Gary J. Sbona, who gave $5.2 million to the College of Business honors program. At its January 22 meeting, the CSU Board of Trustees approved San José State's request to name the program in Sbona's honor.
