NEW DELHI, India, Feb. 2 -- WHAT IS it that made the Gorkhas come to Lucknow from Darjeeling years ago? Unfavourable conditions at Darjeeling! The Gorkhas chose the city of Lucknow to hone their fighting skills owing to the favourable climatic conditions.
The fact that the hilly station of the Gorkhas on the foothills of Himalayas was covered with fog for almost eight months in a year had affected training.
Though the Gorkhas are known for their valour and fighting skills, they are now being made to adapt themselves to the latest technology in warfare.
