Article: USS JUNEAU CLEANS UP IN SASEBO

USS Juneau (LPD 10) Sailors helped pick up refuse in Sasebo on Jan. 31 as part of a volunteer Project called "Seisou".

This is the first year of the project, recently developed by Juneau's Chaplain, Lt. Frank P. Munoz, as a means for Juneau Sailors to give back to the very welcoming Sasebo community. The word "Seisou" means cleaning in the Japanese language.

Armed with gloves and plastic bags, Juneau's crew took time out from a busy maintenance period and underway preparations to scour the town for garbage.
