installing In Motion Technology's onBoard Mobile Gateway and Mobility Manager has allowed North Carolina's Forsyth County EMS to monitor the health and location of its vehicles and networks remotely, reduce its response times and reliably support multiple applications utilizing In Motion's technology.
The service deployed electronic patient-care reporting in 1999, but providers had to use WiFi hotspots at their quarters to transmit the reports. When crews were busy, their inability to transmit information hampered quality assurance and billing. They needed to transmit patient information in real time.
