Western Illinois University issued the following news release:

Western Illinois University's Fourth Annual Musical Theatre Showcase Concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

The benefit concert for Western's Dorothy and Maughan McMurdie BFA Musical Theatre Scholarship fund is presented by the Department of Theatre and Dance, in cooperation with the School of Music. Western became the first and only public university in Illinois to offer a BFA in musical theatre beginning in Fall 2003.

This year's concert, featuring 13 musical theatre majors and one theatre major, will include solos, duets and ensembles from ...
