The office of Sen. Frank R. Lautenberg, D-N.J., issued the following news release:
Sen. Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) and Rep. Donald Payne (D-NJ-10) today celebrated the donation of 1,000 books to the Pediatric Health Center at the Children's Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center from the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey. These books will be used for the Reach Out and Read Program, a partnership between physicians and parents to help children learn to read. Sen. Lautenberg spoke at the event and read to children in the waiting room of the center.
