Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, R-Calif., issued the following news release:
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced the appointment of Joseph A. Farrow as commissioner of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) effective March 1, 2008.
Farrow joined the CHP in 1979. He has held every rank from cadet to assistant commissioner. He has served as deputy commissioner since November 2004. As deputy commissioner, he assisted the commissioner in commanding over 10,000 employees, uniformed and non-uniformed.
