ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 13 -- Kia Silverbrook of Balmain, Australia, has developed a print media transport assembly.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A printer of a type having a page width printhead includes opposed first and second platens. Spanning the space between the platens is a drive roller that is arranged to urge portions of print media supported by the first and second platens in opposite directions in use. A second roller is arranged along corresponding edges of the platens and serves to redirect the print media from one platen to the other during its operation.
