WASHINGTON, Feb. 16 - The Bureau of Indian Affairs has issued a draft environmental impact statement analyzing the effects of the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation of Oregon's request that BIA transfer 25 acres of land to the tribes. The DEIS also analyzes the tribes' proposed construction of a $389-million resort and casino project located within the City of Cascade Locks in Hood River County. The Tribes propose to develop a resort and casino on the trust land and lease adjacent lands from the Port of Cascade Locks for parking and other facilities.
