Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind. (6th CD), issued the following news release:
U.S. Congressman Mike Pence gave the following speech on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives today calling on Congress to pass a long-term extension of the Protect America Act, a bill that authorizes America's intelligence agencies to conduct surveillance on foreign terrorist communications. The short-term extension proposed by the House Democrat leadership failed today. It is unclear if the long-term extension passed by the Senate yesterday will be brought to the House floor this week for a vote.
