WASHINGTON, Feb. 20 -- Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, has introduced a resolution (H.Con.Res. 289) "honoring and praising the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People on the occasion of its 99th anniversary."

The resolution, introduced on Feb. 7, has 36 co-sponsors. It was referred to the House Judiciary Committee.
