The Clatsop County government issued the following news release:
The Clatsop County Sheriff's Posse team was recognized at the Oregon Association of Mounted Posses annual conference and awards dinner Feb. 16-17 in Grants Pass.
Members Angela Sidlo, Mike Clark and Sam and Myrna Patrick attended and accepted awards for themselves and on behalf of the team:
* Top .38-caliber team for the third consecutive year: Sam Patrick, George Waer, Max Norman and Mike Clark;
* Top Individual .38-caliber shooter: Sam Patrick;
* Expert Class highest score: John Able;
* Pistol Master Shooter: John Able.
