Article: HOUSE POSTPONES VOTE ON ETHICS BILL TO CONSIDER REP. HILL'S ALTERNATIVE PROPOSAL

Rep. Baron Hill, D-Ind. (9th CD), has issued the following news release:

The U.S. House of Representatives was scheduled to consider a bill addressing ethics reform within the House on Thursday, but consideration was postponed due to a bipartisan push from Members to take up alternative pieces of legislation, including a proposal from Congressman Baron Hill and Congressman Zach Wamp (R-TN). Hill has been championing ethics reform since his campaign in 2006, and introduced H.R. 1754, the House Ethics Commission Establishment Act of 2007, early last year calling for an independent ethics entity comprised of former Members of Congress.
