A new species of Dracaena L. (Dracaenaceae-Ruscaceae) from Mt Kupe and the Bakossi Mts, Cameroon

Summary. A new species of Dracaena, D. kupensis, from Mt Kupe and the Bakossi Mts, Cameroon, is described and illustrated, its affinities noted and its conservation status assessed. Comparison is made between it and D. phanerophlebia Baker.

Dracaena L. is placed traditionally in the family Dracaenaceae Salisbury, but it can be argued that it belongs in an expanded Ruscaceae Sprengel.
