The House Veterans' Affairs Committee issued the following news release:
On Wednesday, the House Veterans' Affairs Health Subcommittee, led by Chairman Michael H. Michaud, (D-ME), held a hearing on fiscal year 2009 Construction Authorization for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The law currently states that all major construction projects must be authorized by Congress.
"Today's hearing was a first step in the very important process of providing statutory authorization for major construction projects at the VA," said Chairman Michaud.
