euro38 million to build state-of-the-art medical nonwovens plant in India

FINLAND'S AHLSTROM announced on 13 December 2007 that it will invest euro38 million in a new nonwovens plant in India that will use spunmelt technology to make products principally for medical applications.

The company, which describes itself as a global leader in the development, manufacture and marketing of high-performance materials based on fibres, says the investment is in line with its strategy to expand in the fastgrowing, emerging markets.
