WASHINGTON, March 11 -- Rep. George Miller, D-California, has introduced the Combustible Dust Explosion and Fire Prevention Act of 2008 (H.R. 5522), legislation that would "require the Secretary of Labor to issue interim and final occupational safety and health standards regarding worker exposure to combustible dust."

The bill, introduced on March 4, was co-sponsored by Rep. John Barrow, D-Georgia. It was referred to the House Education and Labor Committee.
