WASHINGTON, March 11 - The Bureau of the Census has released final procedures regarding the sharing of address lists developed to help conduct the 2010 census. The Census Bureau is using the Local Update of Census Addresses (LUCA) program to develop address information to use for the census.

Under the Census Address List Improvement Act of 1994, the Census Bureau may provide designated officials of tribal, state, and local governments with access to census addresses information. In previous years, information on addresses within the boundaries of a reservation was offered only to the tribal government, not to state or local governments.
