Article: Sen. Klobuchar Introduces American Renewable Energy Act

WASHINGTON, March 14 -- Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minnesota, has introduced the American Renewable Energy Act of 2008 (S. 2642), legislation that would "establish a national renewable energy standard, to extend and create renewable energy tax incentives."

The bill, introduced on Feb. 14, was co-sponsored by Sens. Olympia J. Snowe, R-Maine, and Maria Cantwell, D-Washington. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
