The Florida Department of Community Affairs issued the following news release:
Florida Communities Trust today partnered with Osceola County and the City of Kissimmee to acquire additional land for the Shingle Creek Recreational Preserve. The latest 16.1-acre project is the fourth phase of the preserve to be acquired through the assistance of Florida Communities Trust (FCT), the state's premier program for helping local communities preserve open space and recreational areas.
With this transaction, the state and local communities have now acquired 290 acres to help protect the water quality and natural resources of Shingle Creek, a tributary of Lake Tohopekaliga and the Kissimmee River. FCT ...
