Gov. Bobby Jindal, R-La., issued the following news release:

Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced nine appointments to the Board of Ernest N. Morial New Orleans Exhibition Authority.

The board's responsibilities include hosting trade shows and conventions and attracting out-of-state commerce. Jay Banks was nominated by the Louisiana Legislature, Klara B. Cvitanovich was nominated by the New Orleans Restaurant Association, Frederick W. Sawyers III was nominated by the Greater New Orleans Hotel and Motel Association, and Melvin Rodrigue will serve as president.
