[I]t is clear that describing the rise of the [Fathers' Rights Movement] in terms of a 'backlash' to increased female power is, at best, a caricature which fails to capture the multifaceted, fast changing, complex realities of men's and women's experiences of family breakdown and shifting gender roles.
