ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 1 -- Dinesh Somasekhar, Yibin Ye and James W. Tschanz, all from Portland, Ore., Vivek K. De of Beaverton, Ore., Muhammad M. Khellah of Lake Oswego, Ore., and Stephen H. Tang of Pleasanton, Calif., have developed a method for limiting a drop of a supply voltage.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An apparatus and method are provided for limiting a drop of a supply voltage in an static random access memory device to retain the state of the memory during a sleep mode(IDLE) state.
