Pennsylvania State Rep. Kerry A. Benninghoff, R-Bellefonte, (171st District) issued the following news release:

The deadline to apply for the Federal Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program is nearing, Rep. Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin) announced today. The AFG program, which is administered by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and is open to both volunteer and paid fire and ambulance companies, will stop accepting applications after the Friday, April 4, deadline. "Our local fire and ambulance service personnel protect our families and loved ones," Benninghoff said.
