Daryl Boyle always enjoyed going back to Lethbridge, Alta., during his Western Hockey League career, but even the familiar sights and faces of his hometown were little consolation for the Brandon Wheat Kings captain on Sunday night.
The 20-year-old defenceman wrapped up his junior career with a 4-0 loss to the host Lethbridge Hurricanes, his Wheat Kings eliminated in six games from the first round of the playoffs.
"It sucks," Boyle lamented. "You don't want this to end anywhere. You want it to end when the Memorial Cup's over and you're hoisting the cup.
