WASHINGTON, April 1 - The U.S. Education Department's Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools has announced the availability of $715,000 in grant funds to identify and disseminate information about best practices for alcohol or other drug abuse prevention programs implemented on college campuses.

The department anticipates making five awards of $125,000 to $175,000 each for the Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Models on College Campuses program. Eligible applicants under the funding opportunity (CFDA Number: 84.184N) are accredited institutions of higher education that offer an associate or baccalaureate degree. Applications are due May 19.
