The Florida Department of Health issued the following news release:
The Florida Department of Health (DOH) announces the appointment of Jean Munden, R.N., M.P.H., M.P.A. as Administrator of the Alachua County Health Department (CHD). Jean Munden was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on March 25, and her appointment is effective Friday, March 28th.
"I am pleased to welcome Jean Munden to her new role within the Alachua County Health Department," Deputy State Health Officer Tom Arnold said. "Ms. Munden's nine years of experience as Assistant Director of the Alachua CHD and her nursing background will be a tremendous asset to the dedicated health department team."
