Article: Albertan wins RBC Challenge after a stellar ride

After settling for a second-place finish in last year's edition of the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair's RBC Challenge Open Jumper competition, Tamie Phillips says she came back to Brandon this week with redemption on her mind.

And that's exactly what the 35-year-old grand-prix horse jumper from Strathmore, Alta., was able to achieve last night at Brandon's Westman Place, topping a field of 15 riders in the high-level competition.

Phillips and her horse, Lucas, were the only team to complete a clear run of the Open's jump-off course, and did so with a time of 38.41 seconds.
