Article: Allegations of Animal Cruelty in Eckford Township, Michigan Draw National Attention

The Humane Society issued the following news release:

The Humane Society of the United States, the nation's largest animal protection organization, wrote to Calhoun County Prosecuting Attorney John Hallacy today, calling for aggressive investigation and prosecution, if warranted, of a case involving charges of animal cruelty in Eckford Township, Mich. The HSUS, which monitors incidents of cruelty across the United States and provides input to prosecutors in more than 200 cases annually, also offered the prosecutor's office its support and resources.
