WASHINGTON, April 9 -- Sen. Mary L. Landrieu, D-Louisiana, has introduced the Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission Act (S. 2802), legislation that would "establish a commission to commemorate the sesquicentennial of the American Civil War."

The bill was introduced on April 2. It referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
