This dialogue about contemporary art and its important position within art education began With ordinary Conversations, both personal and professional, with artist Annette Lawrence. Whether comparing notes about the Houston art scene, discussing the progress of shared students, or sharing a bowl of Bi Bim Bop at a Korean restaurant, we were talking about art, and these dialogues informed my practice as an art educator.
