Article: BUDGET SECRETARY SAYS PROPERTY TAX RELIEF CERTAIN THIS YEAR

The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue issued the following news release:

Budget Secretary Michael J. Masch announced today that the state will provide nearly $800 million in statewide property tax relief this year, marking the beginning of historic property tax relief in the commonwealth. The total includes more than $660 million from the state's Property Tax Relief Fund. "Governor Rendell's promise to bring property tax relief through expanded gaming opportunities in Pennsylvania has become a reality," Masch said after he certified the amount of property tax relief.
