Article: NEW YORK STATE TRIPLES FILM PRODUCTION TAX CREDITS

New York State Empire State Development, the New York State Governor's Office for Motion Picture and Television Development, issued the following news release:

Governor David A. Paterson and the New York State Legislature reached an agreement last week to raise the New York State Film Production Credit to 30% of qualified costs, three times larger than the credit it replaces. This fully refundable tax credit is anticipated to bring more feature films, pilots and episodic television show productions to New York State.
