Mississippi Dems: While Cutting City Departments, Republican Davis Got Himself A New, $28,000 Vehicle At Taxpayer Expense

The Mississippi Democratic Party issued the following news release:

At the same time Southaven Mayor Greg Davis was cutting back in city departments and wouldn't support city employee raises, he asked city aldermen to buy him a new vehicle.

Davis, the Republican running in the Tuesday, April 22, special election for the 1st District U.S. House seat, got the Southaven Board of Aldermen to buy him a new, $28,628 GMC Yukon he said was needed for city business in 2001.
