The city of Lorain issued the following press release:

On April 21, 2008 the City of Lorain will install a completely new phone system at its offices at City Hall (including the Clerk of Court and Judges offices), Utilities Department, all fire Stations, Income Tax and Street Department.

Since this new system offers completely new technology from the old phone system, the City asks for patience and understanding from the public as its employees learn the operation of the new phone system. If your call is accidentally lost or misdirected, please call back. It will take approximately 1-2 weeks to adjust to the new system.
