Article: California Inventors Develop Air Purifier

ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 22 -- Steve Hecker of Santa Monica, Calif., and Dale Honda of Torrance, Calif., have developed an air purifier.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An air purifier is disclosed having an electrostatic chamber and a germicidal chamber, wherein the two chambers are distinct and there is no air flow communication between the electrostatic and germicidal chambers."

The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,347,888 on March 25.

The patent has been assigned to Sylmark Holdings Ltd., Ireland.
