Article: SPRING MILL STATE PARK HOSTING HEIRLOOM PLANT AND SEED EXCHANGE ON APRIL 27

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources issued the following news release:

Spring Mill State Park hosts its annual heirloom plant and seed exchange Sun. April 27, from 1 to 5 p.m. Park visitors are invited to bring their heirloom plants or seeds to the pioneer village to trade them for seedlings grown in the pioneer garden.

An heirloom plant is a plant variety that has been cultivated at least 50 years, and open pollinated, so that seeds from the plant, when planted, come back true to the original plant.
