Article: Mississippi Dems: Greg Davis Opposed Funding the Mississippi Adequate Education Program

The Mississippi Democratic Party issued the following news release:

When Mississippi's public schools needed Greg Davis' support while he was in the state Legislature, the Southaven Republican snubbed them by opposing a plan to fairly fund education.

Davis, a state House member from 1991 to 1997, opposed funding the Mississippi Adequate Education Program - landmark legislation that was designed to ensure Mississippi children receive a K-12 public school education on par with at least a mid-level accreditation.

"How could a public official with aspirations to serve in Washington not support the children of Mississippi and ensure they have, at a minimum, at least an 'adequate education?'" ...
