WASHINGTON, April 22 -- Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kansas, has introduced a resolution (S.Res.519) "welcoming Pope Benedict XVI to the U.S. and recognizing the unique insights his moral and spiritual reflections bring to the world stage."
The resolution, introduced on April 17, has 99 co-sponsors.
