The Chapel Hill Police Department issued the following news release:
East Chapel Hill High School and Chapel Hill High School will present day-long programs for juniors and seniors to educate them about the dangers of underage drinking. The programs are part of the schools' prevention programs and will coincide with their proms.
Both programs will include simulated traffic crashes. The "Mock Crash" is a realistic and at times unnerving collision scene, complete with casualties. The scenario will simulate the arrest of drunk drivers. The scenes are made to look as real as possible so that the students will see what it would feel like to see a classmate arrested for drunk driving or a friend ...
